Community Guidelines

Confess. is built on a simple principle: give adults a safe, anonymous space for honest expression. These guidelines define what that means in practice. They exist to protect the community — including you.
By using Confess., you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or reporting to law enforcement where required by law.
What's Allowed
✓ Honest personal confessions
Sharing thoughts, feelings, experiences, or secrets you can't share publicly. This is the core of what Confess. is for.
✓ Emotional venting and catharsis
Expressing frustration, sadness, confusion, or joy — without judgment. Real emotions are welcome here.
✓ Anonymous discussion and reactions
Responding to others' confessions with emotions or text replies under a random nickname. Keep it constructive or supportive.
✓ Adult themes discussed maturely
Adults can discuss relationships, sexuality, mental health, work struggles, and other mature topics in a non-explicit, non-harmful way.
What's Not Allowed
✗ Sexually explicit content
Pornographic descriptions, sexual solicitation, or explicit sexual content of any kind is strictly prohibited.
✗ Content involving minors
Any content that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or targets minors is an absolute violation and will be reported to law enforcement immediately.
✗ Self-harm or suicide glorification
Content that promotes, glorifies, or provides instructions for self-harm or suicide is prohibited. Discussions of personal struggles are allowed; glorification is not.
✗ Harassment and targeted abuse
Threatening, bullying, or repeatedly targeting specific individuals. This includes sharing identifying information about others ("doxxing").
✗ Hate speech
Content that dehumanizes or attacks individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
✗ Spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior
Repetitive posts, bots, fake accounts, or coordinated campaigns to manipulate the platform.
✗ Illegal content
Content promoting illegal activity, drug trafficking, weapons sales, financial fraud, or any criminal conduct.
✗ Sharing others' private information
Posting personal identifying information (name, address, phone, photo) of another person without their consent.
How We Moderate
We use a layered moderation approach:
- Automated filters: AI-powered systems scan content in real time for keywords, patterns, and signals associated with prohibited content.
- User reporting: Every piece of content has an in-app report button. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
- Human review team: Our moderation team reviews flagged content and takes action including removal, account suspension, and law enforcement referral.
- Zero-tolerance categories: Content involving minors or credible threats of violence is escalated immediately, with no appeal option.
Consequences
- First violation (minor): Content removal and warning.
- Repeated violations: Temporary or permanent account suspension.
- Severe violations (CSAM, credible threats, illegal activity): Immediate permanent ban and referral to law enforcement.
Appeals
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may appeal by contacting safety@deccansoft.net with a description of the content and why you believe the removal was incorrect. We respond to appeals within 72 hours.
