Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Confess. (the "Service"), operated by Deccansoft ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility — 18+ Only
The Service is intended exclusively for individuals 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to verify your age at any time and to terminate access if we discover you are under 18. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the Service.
2. Account and Access
- Access to the Service requires age verification via college email or date of birth confirmation.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your access credentials.
- Each person may only maintain one active session. Multi-accounting for the purpose of evading bans or restrictions is prohibited.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms.
3. User-Generated Content
The Service allows you to post text-based confessions, reactions, and replies ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Confess. a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service, for up to 24 hours.
All User Content is automatically and permanently deleted after 24 hours.
4. Prohibited Content
You may not post, share, or transmit any content that:
- Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or involves sexual solicitation
- Depicts, promotes, or glorifies violence, self-harm, or suicide
- Harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates any individual or group
- Contains hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
- Involves or facilitates the exploitation, abuse, or endangerment of minors in any form
- Is spam, phishing, or designed to deceive users
- Impersonates any person, company, or entity
- Violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights (including intellectual property)
- Contains personal identifying information (PII) of another individual without their consent
- Promotes illegal activity including drug sales, weapons trafficking, or financial fraud
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination and, where required by law, reporting to appropriate authorities.
5. Content Moderation
We employ a combination of automated systems and human review to moderate content. We reserve the absolute right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice, and for any reason we deem appropriate to maintain a safe and lawful platform.
6. Reporting and Appeals
If you encounter content that violates these Terms, you may report it through the in-app reporting feature. Our moderation team reviews reports within 24 hours. If your content is removed and you believe the removal was in error, you may appeal by contacting safety@deccansoft.net.
7. Intellectual Property
The Confess. name, logo, design, and all non-user-generated content on the Service are the intellectual property of Deccansoft. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deccansoft disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deccansoft's total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed ₹500 (Indian Rupees five hundred) or the equivalent in your local currency.
We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of any User Content posted by other users.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Deccansoft, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email where possible. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
